Personal growth journeys can often feel very lonely. It is during these times we shed old beliefs and have lots of questions, but not everyone we typically surround ourselves with is up for taking this ride with us. And then there we are, with our newfound wisdom and experiences and questions and no one to talk to about them. That's why I created SpiritualiTEA.
On my own path of self-discovery, one of the most helpful parts along this journey was to be able to talk with others about our experiences- a two-way street of listening and sharing. I've met so many amazing people over the years through being able to connect in a private, group environment that I knew this was something I wanted to carry with me when my family and I relocated from North Dakota to Montana.
The Early Days of TEA
SpiritualiTEA began as an in-person event at my office in Billings. I held a space weekly for people to join me for mind, body, and spirit discussions, and I provided the coffee and tea. I also nerd out on cheesy word play, so with that SpiritualiTEA got its name.
As time went on, it became obvious to me that others would appreciate attending TEA, but it didn't work with their schedule. That's when virtual SpiritualiTEA began in a private Facebook group where I would go LIVE every 1st Tuesday of the month. It wasn't long after that our worlds would be turned upside down and in-person gatherings would become a thing of the past for the foreseeable future and SpiritualiTEA became completely virtual.
Today SpiritualiTEA is more than a monthly meeting: it is a community. It provides privacy and psychological safety for every member. It is a judgment-free zone that allows you to explore, learn, and share with others following a similar path as you. While no two paths are exactly alike, having support and encouragement from people who have a little bit of an idea of what you are going through is invaluable.
