Energetic Themes for May

Different seasons and different months bring about different kinds of energy. For the month of May, these are the energetic themes I’m feeling strongly called to:

  • Grounding

  • Healing Generational Trauma

  • Healing Familial Relationships

  • Space Clearings for Home and Business



Grounding

Grounding is the practice of reconnecting yourself with Mother Earth. It makes sense during the month of May and springtime we would be craving this connection after a long winter.

When you are ungrounded, you can feel like your head is in the clouds, foggy, unclear, without direction, and unsure of yourself.


When you are grounded, you feel more level-headed, capable, and focused. You feel peaceful and more connected to Earth and nature.


Grounding is easy to do on your own without the support of on energy healer. Here is my guided grounding exercise from my book Vibe Higher.

Healing Generational Trauma

Yes, unhealed trauma can be passed down generation to generation. I always say, if you can believe that your family's medical history can put you at higher risk for certain diseases or illnesses, it should also make sense to you that trauma can potentially be passed down to you, too.


You don't have to know exactly the origin or type of trauma to be able to heal from it. For example, you don’t need to be aware that your great-great-great grandmother survived the sinking of the Titanic and the trauma from that experience has been passed down to her descendants. What's important here is that you have an awareness that trauma from your ancestors may have been passed down to you and could have a negative impact on your, your children, their children and so on. However, you have the power to break the cycle.

As much as I'm a big fan of do-it-yourself solutions, working on generational trauma is best suited for working with an energy healer. For example, I am able to help you identify and resolve both known and unknown trauma.


Signs the You Need Healing from Generational Trauma

  • You or your children behave in ways that you don’t understand.

  • You feel like you or your children are cursed.

  • You feel like you’ve inherited undesirable traits.

  • You have fears surrounding things you have never experienced for yourself.

  • You have recurring nightmares.

  • You know for certain your parents or grandparents experienced trauma (illnesses, immense struggle, suppression, abuse, addiction, mental health issues, natural disasters, significant loss, etc.)

I work with generational trauma the same way I do all my energy healing sessions through pendulum dowsing. It helps me to identify where the trauma is, release it, and transmute that energy into something beneficial for you.


Healing Familial Relationships

With Mother's Day in May and Father's Day in June, there's great energy here to help you heal your relationships with your parents. Relationship healing is all about clearing out the energetic gunk to either improve a relationship or to find peace with a relationship you no longer wish or have the ability to pursue.


You don’t have to have a significant hurt between you and someone else for relationship healing to be beneficial. In fact, I have done relationship healing between myself and all of my closest loved ones over the years. It is so helpful to for clearing out past arguments, irritations, frustrations, or resentments that you may or may not be consciously aware of how it affects you.


If you are aware of hurt or resentment you have towards a parent, you can use a common forgiveness exercise below. If you find the forgiveness exercise to be of little help to giving you peace, an energy healing session would be beneficial for you.


If you are not aware of non-beneficial energy between you and a parent but are curious if there is something that needs to be addressed that would be helpful for you, book your free consultation to find out.


Forgiveness Exercise

Find a quiet place you can be undisturbed for a few moments. Close your eyes and focus on your breath. Envision yourself face-to-face with your parent (one at a time) and tell them you forgive them, even if at that moment you don’t really believe that. You can choose to be specific about what you are forgiving them for or general, whichever you prefer. While still envisioning this encounter, offer forgiveness for yourself. When you are ready, leave the encounter and open your eyes.


I did this forgiveness exercise envisioning people outside of my family who really hurt me. It was incredibly helpful and also wiped me out for the rest of the day. Sometimes big shifts use up a lot of our energy. If you feel tired after doing this exercise, do your best to honor your needs. You will recover quickly.


Space Clearings for Home and Business

Space clearings aren’t just for releasing negative entities, they also help improve the energy of the space.

We spend a lot of time at our homes or businesses and the energy of those spaces directly affect our daily living. Space clearings should be done at a minimum of twice a year. I especially like space clearings every spring and fall.

A recommended schedule would be a Space Clearing session every spring and fall and smudging the other months.
