7 Things Lightworkers Need to Know

Updated: Dec 9, 2019

If you’re a lightworker, you need to read this.

My first experiences with energy healing was several years ago. The results were so incredible, I had to learn how to use energy healing for myself. As an eager lightworker, I have taken part in many opportunities to learn and share with other lightworkers. There is something so fulfilling being able to connect with like-minded people with similar gifts and goals.

I have had countless beautiful experiences as a lightworker, but I’ve had some disturbing experiences as well, even at the hands of other “lightworkers”. It is extremely violating to discover people tapping into or manipulating your energy without your permission. My own negative experiences and my awareness of this happening to others is very eye-opening. It is my hope if you knew this ugliness was a possibility, you could prepare yourself and not have to discover these lessons the hard way.

I’ve been called to compose this list for 7 Things Lightworkers Need to Know for all of you lightworkers out there to help you protect yourselves and continue spreading your love and light.

things lightworkers should know

1. Always protect yourself.

Bubble up, say a prayer, call in Archangel Michael, set your intentions. However you choose to do this, you need to make sure you protect yourself from taking on non-beneficial energy. This is important whether you are working with clients, out in public, and even when consuming any type of media. Whenever you finish a session or an event, make sure to disconnect from the energy so nothing can continue to pull from you or manipulate you without your knowledge.

2. Control the energy you share.

As lightworkers, we love to share our beautiful energy with others, but it’s important to set our boundaries. Without boundaries, we can unwittingly invite energy vampires who will suck our energy without our knowledge for their own greed-filled reasons, and they won’t replenish it either. Be sure to clearly define your boundaries and set them to the level you feel comfortable. If you do encounter individuals who seem to overstep your boundaries, it is recommended you limit contact with them.

3. Don’t over trust.

This is so important. It’s easy to assume all lightworkers are truthful and honest and have your best interest in mind. This is honestly not always the case. Lightworkers can be just as susceptible to entities, low vibrating frequencies, and greed as anyone else. When inviting new people into your spaces, (physically, emotionally, and spiritually) it is absolutely OK to determine if these people are helpful or harmful to your highest good. It is not appropriate to do any sort of clearings or healings on individuals without their permission, but it is OK for you to watch out for yourself.

4. Check in with yourself.

Remember how I just mentioned entities above? They can happen. Check in with yourself regularly to ensure you don’t have any entities, attachments, or other low vibrating frequencies affecting you. You can also check the frequency of things like greed, integrity, effectiveness, abundance, etc. to see where you are. If you feel the frequency is too high or too low, use your lightworker gifts to better align with your true intentions and purpose.

5. Ask lightworker friends to check in on you.

Even lightworkers need help from other lightworkers from time to time. If something non-beneficial is affecting you or using you, it might be difficult for you to realize it’s even happening. It could be hidden, so it might not show up in the regular energy healings you do on yourself. Ask a trusted lightworker friend to see if you're clear or if something needs your attention.

6. Ask if it’s helpful.

Be discerning of what you purchase or download to support your lightworking abilities. So often things are wrapped in pretty packages (services, tools, classes, etc.) that you just have to buy it. You should always ask if it is something that will be beneficial for you. Just because you are a lightworker doesn’t mean you need to (or were meant to) use just anything available to you. On the flipside, just because it is something you don’t need right now doesn’t mean you won’t down the road, so don’t be afraid to ask again.

7. Clear and re-program your tools.

After the recent dissension of a popular lightworker, I’ve seen many people scared to use her tools. This was a lightbulb moment for me as I realize many lightworkers haven’t thought about clearing and re-programming their tools. I would assume in most cases a creator sets an intention and programming to accompany their tools for your use. When you get these tools, you can clear any non-beneficial programming attached to them and program them to be honest, truthful, and most beneficial for your use.

Moving Forward

It is an incredible gift to be a lightworker, and to ensure we utilize our gifts as best we can, it is so important take care of ourselves. I hope you find this list helpful as you move forward in this world as a lightworker. I would like to reiterate most of my experiences have been pure love, but my naivety has led to some pretty interesting realizations. May you always be protected so you can continue your path of making the world a better place.

Be love. Be light. Just Be.
